I can feel the atmosphere of the event in the photo.
I like this better than the Marilyn photo because it explains you. The Marilyn photo is what everyone takes and that's good because it shows what you were supposed to be doing, like everyone else. But when you get into this photo it's showing what was really going on, kind of like being there and seeing the whole room. I'd like to see more of what was happening in your mind.
Is it okay that I say this?
It's quite normal for most photojournalists (professional or otherwise) to shoot as much of an event as possible. Although the tabloids and media usually publish the highlights of an event, it doesn't stop the photojournalists from taking a few extra snaps of their surroundings (including their friends and associates). I'm very sure I wasn't the only one who got a photo like this. :)
