Tanjung Aru beach in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Malaysia. The green sludge along the beach is actually an unusual event. A newspaper article appeared a few days after this photo was taken. The authorities, at the time, could not ascertain the reason for the algae-like substance spread over the entire beach.
